Parkings in Plaza de la Catedral and Albacete City Hall

Around the edge of the square is the cathedral and Albacete City Hall. The City Hall is an iconic 20th century building that serves as the seat of the city council.

The square has undergone several redevelopments that have now turned it into one of the area’s main tourist attractions. The paving has been changed to make it accessible to everyone and new street furniture has been fitted. You’ll find benches on which to take a rest and a landscaped space that’s perfect for a little stroll.

During the city’s Fiestas de San Juan on 23 and 24 July, many of the evening activities take place in the cathedral square. They include the lantern parade that sets off for the area known as Los Ejidos de la Feria, where the San Juan bonfire is lit and old books and personal belongings are burned.

San Juan Park, adjacent to the square, is another place that no visitor should miss, as it’s one of the most popular areas of the city, standing very close to the business and shopping areas.
